Our Facility

Oceana County Medical Care Facility is a county-owned skilled nursing facility in Hart, Michigan. For over 55 years, we have proudly served qualified individuals with an array of inpatient and outpatient services and an exceptionally high ratio of staff to residents. We have facilities for those in need of long or short-term skilled nursing care, rehabilitation care, and Alzheimer’s and dementia care.

Founded in 1964, Oceana County Medical Care Facility originally housed 53 beds in our state-of-the-art facility. Shortly after, we expanded to 113 beds. As demand for space further increased, in 2005, an 18-bed bed Alzheimer’s unit was dedicated. Recently, in 2016-17, all resident care units were modernized into private and semi-private spaces. This addition saw the construction of several other expansions and renovations to our dining room, resident activity area, dayrooms, and rehab therapy space as well.

Our facility is located in the peaceful, country community of Hart, Michigan, just 20 minutes from the shores of Lake Michigan. Our residents enjoy being surrounded by peaceful curated gardens, nearby farm life and nature, and a safe and friendly small-town community.
